Region

The day three paragraph is about region. Region is an area of land that can have common features, it can be defined by natural or artificial features. Wildlife, forests, and climate can also define a region . Out of the seven regions of the world, we are located in North America. Cardigan Mountain is in Orange, New Hampshire. We found a Red Salamander that is native to eastern United States, where New Hampshire is located, and the trail. The salamander looked orange with very few small black dots. I observed the trip being very wet and moist because of rain. There are many animals that live on the trail and make it more of a natural feature. The trail is a natural feature because it isn’t human made. There is granite and lots of trees around the trial. The forest can make the trail truly beautiful and natural and it is comprised mostly of Sugar maple, American beech, and Birch trees which are native to our region . Without the trees the trail would just look like dirt and stone. The granite is truly unique to the trail and New Hampshire. There was a beautiful stream going through the trail that our group had to cross over on a bridge. We did a short stream study on the macroinvertebrates, such as crayfish, stoneflies, and newts. Our group finished the trail and we went to the artificial feature, AMC lodge. We packed our bags and went to the highschool. At the highschool our parents picked us up and we went home and went to bed. Our day three of the Cardigan trip was over.
